Statt den üblichen 10 Seillängen im VI / VII. Grad hat uns dieses Mal die Lust auf was leichtes, dafür etwas längeres gepackt. Mit 20 Seillängen II / III war der Westgrad der Gehrenspitze da genau das Richtige. Und so machten wir uns am Samstagabend auf ins östliche Ende vom Tannheimer Tal, genauer zur Hahnenkammbahn und von dort zur Gehrenalpe.

Dieses Wochenende hat es uns nach Italien gezogen. Zwar hatte ich mehr Lust auf eine hohe Wand, aber Anne hatte Angst mit ihrem Fuß nach 5 Seillängen nicht mehr klettern zu können (was blöd ist, wenn man dann noch 5 oder mehr zu klettern hat ;-). Und so zogen wir aus um die Blöcke im Wald unsicher zu machen.

Nachdem ich mich in Paris und auf dem heimischen Prüfstand von der Qualität des AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED überzeugen konnte, habe ich mein Nikkor Trifecta endlich komplettiert. Hier ein erster Erfahrungsbericht mit dem jüngsten Mitglied im Objektivpark.

Das DK-17M ist ein Vergrößerungsokular, welches nach Nikon Angaben das Sucherbild um den Faktor 1.2 vergrößert.  Offiziell unterstützt werden die älteren Bodys (D2*, D3* und D700).  Soweit die spärlichen Angaben von Nikon.  Der Preis liegt aktuell bei ca. 30€.

Es handelt sich hier also um eine kompakte Lupe, welche auf Kosten der Bautiefe ein größeres Sucherbild bietet.  Das sich das an der D800 lohnt, selbst wenn man fast ausschließlich autofokussiert, möchte ich im folgenden darstellen.

Für die Rubrik »nicht alles was hinkt, ist ein Vergleich« habe ich mein Sigma 10-20mm F4,0-5,6 EX DC/HSM gegen ein ausgeliehenes AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED antreten lassen.  Im Kern trieb mich die Frage, ob sich der dreifache Preis auch in entsprechender Bildqualität niederschlägt.

We had 16h in Paris this Saturday that we spent on the Paris Air Show (for business and pleasure), at the Jazz Festival in Parc de Floral (excellent concert by Malted Milk), with some wine tasting at Le Baron Rouge (yummy) and sight seeing and of course (Notre-Dame) and finally on a bateaux mouches dinner cruise on the Seine. That covered about all the facets of Paris in a company sponsored time laps.

Following our training schedule we’ve spent loads of time this spring in our local climbing gym. Here’s a composition of me in one of the easier climbs. That wall is overhanging with a little roof for kicks. It never ceases to amaze the masses, when you’re climbing vertically 🙂

Just a quick add-on to our Mallorca Session last year: composition of HP doing a deep water solo of the 6b rated »Bird Watching« in Santanyi. Not the best weather, but still a fantastic day of climbing.
