Mit der D800 nach den Sternen greifen

Viele einiger Zeit habe ich mich mal mit dem Thema »Sterne fotografieren« und Nachtaufnahmen beschäftigt. Leider ist die D200 für diese Aufgabe nur bedingt geeignet. Ganz anders sieht es da mit der D800 aus. Hier ein erstes Beispiel von einer spontanen Nachwanderung zu unserem Lieblingsbaum.

Does the D800 sensor out-resolve my lenses? Or in other words, are lenses limiting the sensor performance of the D800. Besides the ISO performance that was the next hot D800 topic over at [NR] prior to it’s release. For the lazy out there: My lenses do not limit the camera. Or again the other way around, the D800 does not out-resolve my Nikkor lenses.

ISO Vergleich mit Nikon’s D800

Im Vorfeld habe ich – ganz zur Steigerung der Vorfreude – viel Zeit auf [NR] verbracht. Immer wieder wurde dort über die low-light Eigenschaften der D800 diskutiert. Vor allem im Vergleich zu legendären D700 wurde viel wirres Zeug geschrieben. Hier ein paar Bilder aus erster Hand:

Sie ist da! Seid heute bin ich stolzer Besitzer der D800 von Nikon. Mein Händler hat genau zwei goldene Kisten des Glücks bekommen und da ich ganz oben auf der langen Liste der Vorbestellet stand, bin ich nun mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit der erste Ulmer mit Nikons neuer Wunderwaffe.
